Waypoint is a weekly gathering for pilots, flight crew, controllers, and anyone in aviation who wants a steady place to study scripture and build real friendships around it.
Long trips and rotating shifts don't leave much room to build community. Waypoint exists so pilots and aviation people across Atlanta have a standing place to study scripture honestly, ask hard questions, and know a few people who'll notice if they're gone.
New to faith, new to Atlanta, or just new to sitting still — there's no experience requirement. Come as you are.
We work through books of the Bible a passage at a time — real discussion, real questions, no assumption you've done this before.
The goal isn't a lecture. It's a small, steady group of aviation people in Atlanta who actually know each other's lives.
I'm a multi-engine flight instructor at ATP Flight School, based out of LZU. Community isn't easy to find in aviation — our schedules conflict with almost everything, including each other. I've felt firsthand how hard that makes it to stay consistent in faith, and I don't think that experience is unusual in this line of work.
God has put this on my heart for a couple of months now, and I believe it's something He wanted me to start. Waypoint is my attempt to build the kind of consistency and community that this job makes so hard to find.

No. This started as a group for pilots, but flight attendants, mechanics, dispatchers, controllers, and family members are all welcome.
Not at all. We explain things as we go and welcome questions at any level, whether this is your first time opening a Bible or your hundredth.
Totally normal in this line of work. Come whenever you're in town — there's no attendance requirement.
No, it's free. Occasionally we'll split a meal or coffee, but there's never a cost to attend.
Leave your info and we'll send the exact address, parking notes, and what we're currently studying.
